The Wadena Park Board officially opened the city's brand new Pickleball Courts at their monthly meeting last night! You'll find them at 17 5th St SW, on the west side of the Mas.
This great new amenity wouldn't have been possible without the generosity of our community. The Park Board would like to thank the Wadena Hockey Association for selling the land to the city, providing a fantastic location for the courts.

The Wadena Development Authority is offering a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home with a 2-stall detached garage for rent at $1,200 per month. The lease term is one year, with the option to renew following a successful tenancy.
All applicants must provide references and pass a background check and credit check. A $1,200 security deposit is required, and no pets are allowed.
The tenant is responsible for utilities and lawn mowing. The landlord provides trash pickup and snow plowing of the driveway during the winter months.

Final stages of 2026 construction are underway, and there are NO detours. Here's what to expect:
- Highway 10 split traffic (starting today, Wed. Sept 23): One lane in each respective direction west of Wadena. Westbound drivers will shift to the inside lane near the County Road 92 roundabout.
- CR 92 temp roundabout: Now open with temporary signs. Remember to yield to traffic already in the roundabout!
- County Road 92 (starting next week, about 1 week): Northbound traffic flows normally. Southbound traffic will be controlled by flaggers.
- County Road 75 (starting Thursday, Sept 24, into next week): Flaggers in both directions. The Highway 10 median crossing at CR 75 is closed. To continue across Highway 10 on CR 75, turn right onto Highway 10, use the new J-Turn to U-turn, then turn right back onto CR 75.
Please slow down, watch for workers and flaggers, and allow a few extra minutes for your trip. Thanks for your patience as we wrap up this project!
