The City of Wadena and the Small Cities Development Program are looking for eligible households to receive funding to rehabilitate their home. To be eligible for the program you must: reside in target area, own your home, and meet annual household income limits.
Funding is limited and once it is allocated, it will not be available again.
Funding is provided as a 0%, deferred, forgivable loan with a seven-year term. Forgivable loans can be up to $24,000, and the loan balance is forgiven I/7th per year. Also, the City of Wadena will provide up to $2,500 to help cover the owner match requirement (10% of the total project cost). To date, several homeowners have utilized the Small Cities Development Program to upgrade their homes.
