Public Notice from the Wadena Police Department
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle - Drone

The City of Wadena Police Department is implementing an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), aka: Drone, within the department.

According to MN State Statute, 626.19, we are obligated to provide an opportunity for public comment before it (City of Wadena) purchases or uses an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. At a minimum, the agency (Wadena Police Department) must accept public comments submitted electronically or by mail, and the governing body (Wadena City Council) with jurisdiction over the budget of a local law enforcement agency must provide an opportunity for public comment at a regularly scheduled meeting.

We invite you, the public, to attend the next regular City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 9, 2021 beginning at 5pm located at the City Administrative Building 222 SE 2nd St. in Wadena if you wish to express your comments in person. You may also attend the meeting electronically. For the link to the meeting, please go to www.wadena.org
